Lake Forest is home to The Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation Center, which sells merchandise and accepts donations at the same address. Large red letters reading "Family Store," next to the organization's red shield, mark the front of the building. The doors open every day of the week, and the store stays open into the evening on at least one of them. Money spent here supports the charity's adult rehabilitation programs.
