Inspired, the outlet of Second Impressions in Lake Forest, belongs to a family-run, ministry-driven resale operation whose mission is to share the hope of Christ by meeting physical and spiritual needs. Its stock blends donated secondhand goods with new merchandise, covering clothing, accessories, home decor, kitchenware, furniture and jewelry. Strings of café lights and macramé hangings run across the sales floor, with potted plants among the racks. The shop is open six days a week, Sundays included.
Sales support the Homeless Ministry of South OC, which delivers clothing, blankets and toiletries and runs a work program, along with Beyond the Rooftops kids camps and Christmas outreach. Every dollar from costume jewelry sales goes to Cross to Light, sustaining ten bread ovens that feed the hungry at church plants in Haiti.
