Owned and operated by the American Cancer Society, the Napa Discovery Shop is a resale store that sells donated merchandise to support the fight against cancer. Its stock covers clothing, accessories, jewelry, furniture, artwork, antiques, collectibles and other household items. The Society has run its Discovery Shops for 55 years. Seniors 55 and older get a discount on Tuesdays, and military members with ID get one every day. All sales are final.
Donations of clothing, shoes, jewelry, housewares and furniture are tax-deductible, and all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. Volunteers help staff the shop, which is open seven days a week. The Discovery Shop's teal shopping-bag logo is on its glass front doors, and racks of clothing fill the floor just inside.
