Bradenton is home to Loving Hands Thrift Store, which is run by Loving Hands Ministries. The ministry operates a Christ-centered residential discipleship program for men with addictions, and residents commit to a minimum of two years. It also has locations in Palmetto, Dade City and Georgia, and holds fundraising events such as banquets and an annual walk-a-thon.
Next to the thrift store, the ministry runs a separate furniture store. The thrift store is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. Its pale stucco building has curved burgundy awnings over the windows and the entrance, and a flowering pink crape myrtle stands near the front.
