Rapid City's Salvation Army Thrift Store belongs to the local Salvation Army, an international Christian movement. Its Rapid City Corps Community Center runs a wide range of basic needs programs for area residents. Monetary gifts to the organization pay for meals, shelter and support for neighbors in need. The organization also preaches the gospel and works to meet human needs without discrimination.
Donations of goods such as clothing and furniture are accepted, and donors can find local drop-off and pickup options by entering a ZIP code on the organization's donation site. Besides giving goods or money, people can volunteer or raise funds for the organization. The store is open five days a week and serves shoppers and donors across Rapid City, South Dakota.
