Dayton has its own Village Discount Outlet, a secondhand store run by Village Discount Outlet, Inc. that focuses on pre-owned clothing for the whole family. The racks carry women's, men's and kids' apparel, and there are also separate departments for shoes, accessories and linens, plus a mix of other goods. Name-brand labels turn up throughout the clothing sections.
Sales run every week, and shoppers can join the store's email list or text alerts to hear about new arrivals and upcoming promotions. The store is open seven days a week, with evening hours on some days. Big red script letters spell out the name across the pale front of the building, above green-and-white striped awnings and a blue roofline.
