The Santa Fe Habitat for Humanity ReStore carries building materials alongside furniture, with shelves holding appliances, fixtures, electrical and plumbing supplies, lumber and household goods. It is run by Santa Fe Habitat for Humanity, which builds simple, energy-efficient new homes and repairs or rehabilitates existing ones so that Santa Fe area residents can afford to own a home.
Donated furniture, appliances and leftover building materials are sold to help fund homes for families in need. Volunteers work in the store as well as on build sites and in the office. The ReStore also runs a tool lending library for people who need a tool for a short time or can't buy one new. Items can be bought online, and the store is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
