Savers in Santa Fe takes donations of clothing and shoes, housewares, books and media, electronics, small appliances, small furniture, games and toys, bed and bath goods, and exercise gear. Donors who drop off clothing or household items get a discount on their next purchase. The store is open seven days a week, with evening hours. Every Tuesday is Senior Tuesday, with savings for shoppers 55 and older.
The store is run by TVI, Inc., a for-profit company, so purchases here don't support a charity. Donations do, though: Savers pays Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central New Mexico for the goods people give, which helps fund the group's programs. The shelves carry clothing for the whole family along with dinnerware, accessories, books, electronics and housewares. The store's name is spelled out in bold red letters across its tan stucco front.
