Clothing, children's toys, books and jewelry fill the shelves at ReTails Thrift Shop in Raleigh, North Carolina, which AnimalKind has operated for more than 20 years. The shop is open six days a week, Sundays included, and volunteers help keep it running alongside shoppers and donors.
Donations of most clothing, furniture and household items are welcome during store days. Drop-offs go through the back door, where donors ring the bell for help. All of the net profits go to the AnimalKind Community Veterinary Clinic, whose mission is to provide affordable spay, neuter and preventive care for companion animals in the community.
