Since 1971, The Cottage Shop has been a Houston resale boutique owned and operated by The Women's Home. All of its sales support that organization's work helping women and families regain stability. The store carries new and secondhand men's and women's clothing, shoes, jewelry, handbags and home goods, and its Boutique and Vintage sections stock designer labels. It also serves as a vocational training site, staffed by volunteers and residents under professional supervision.
The shop is open six days a week, closed Sundays, with weekly deals midweek and on weekends plus a Cottage Cash loyalty program. Laundered clothing, shoes and accessories can be dropped off at the store, and delivered furniture is accepted. A bold red floral painting hangs on the wall beside the brown awning and its teal oval sign.
