Shopping and drop-off share one roof at this Fletcher Goodwill, which runs as both a retail store and an attended donation center seven days a week, staying open into the evening. Its sales fund the free job training and career services of Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina. The red brick building carries the name in tall blue letters across its front.
Donations of clothing, shoes, furniture, books, housewares, linens, jewelry, collectibles, flat-screen televisions and working electronics are welcome. Computers of any brand and in any condition are taken for recycling through the Dell Reconnect program. Large appliances, mattresses, building materials, paint and recalled children's gear are turned away, and all donations are tax-deductible.
