The Ramona Food and Clothes Closet, Inc. runs this thrift shop. The humanitarian organization provides emergency food, clothing and other resources to individuals and low-income families in Ramona and nearby rural areas. The store sells second-hand clothing, opens seven days a week and offers food services inside on weekdays. Red "Thrift Shop" lettering and a red open-door logo stand out on a white sign across its brown wood-sided front.
A drive-thru takes community donations of all items from Monday through Saturday. The organization also lends medical equipment for free, and each Christmas it gives new toys and holiday food boxes to several hundred low-income households. All net profits from sales go back into the community through grants to local charities, educational scholarships, homeless programs and emergency assistance.
