Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley runs the Concord ReStore, a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that sells new and used goods to the public. All proceeds go to the organization's work building homes in the Bay Area. The stock includes furniture, appliances, cabinets, lighting, flooring and tile, doors and windows, plumbing fixtures, tools and building materials.
Bright blue awnings with simple drawings of household goods line the cream-colored storefront. Donations can be dropped off at the store, and residential pickups can be scheduled. Businesses can donate surplus inventory, and a recycling program takes other goods. The store is open five days a week, Sundays included, and donation drop-off and pickup of purchased items run on those same days.
