Donated art and craft supplies fill the shelves at Creative Upcycle, a makers' materials thrift in Pleasant Hill. Its stock includes yarn, fabric, thread, embroidery floss, buttons, ribbon, notions, scrapbooking supplies, stickers, templates, unopened paints, pipe cleaners and pom-poms. Besides selling supplies, the shop holds classes for crafters at every skill level. Green window frames and white signs with the store's leaf logo mark the storefront.
The shop takes donations of unwanted and unused craft supplies, including materials from estate and garage sales, and keeps them out of landfills. It is open six days a week, stays open late on Wednesday evenings and closes on Sundays. All proceeds from its sales go to local nonprofits.
