Chico, California, has its own secondhand shop in Thrifty Bargain, a thrift store devoted to resale. Its single-story cream building carries bright blue trim along the roofline, and the lower front windows are framed in blocks of pink, green, yellow and blue. A white rooftop sign spells out "Thrift Store" in bold red capitals above the entrance side. The doors open seven days a week, including weekends. On at least one of those days, the store stays open into the evening.
