Chico's Salvation Army store sits beneath a deep red canopy that wraps the front of the building above a long run of windows. Wooden tables, chairs, stools and stepladders are set out along the walkway beside the entrance, so furniture greets shoppers before they reach the door. The shop does business six days a week and closes on Sundays. Money from purchases made here helps pay for the organization's rehabilitation programs for adults.
