Sales at the Bargain Box Resale Shop in Conroe, Texas, support the Conroe Service League, a women's volunteer organization that runs service programs in education, cultural arts and health. Through its Baby Bundles program, the League gives clothes, diapers and other essentials to babies, and its volunteers offer free hearing screenings for preschool children.
The League's family outreach work gives school supplies, clothes and activities to families and young people. Fine arts scholarships go each year to local high school seniors. The League also pays for college scholarships, community service projects and grants for local nonprofit organizations. The resale shop is open four days a week, and on Saturdays it opens only on the second and fourth Saturday of each month.
