Furniture fills much of the HJF Resale Shop, with living room, bedroom and dining pieces in modern and classic styles. Vintage items, home decor, collectibles, silverware, women's jewelry and clothing for men and women are also for sale. Shoppers 62 and older get a discount on Wednesdays, and everyone gets one on the first Saturday of each month. Donations of good-quality furniture, dishes and glassware are accepted during business hours, and furniture consignments need approval first.
Houston Junior Forum owns and runs the shop. It has sold used goods since 1969 and moved into its current building in 1987. Part of each year's net profits goes to the group's college scholarship and community grants programs. A black awning with the forum's round monogram stretches across the pale stone front.
