Every sale at Station Thrift supports the transitional housing ministries of Hope Station, which serve people in and around Anderson County. The nonprofit shop opened in 2016 in Palestine, Texas. It is open six days a week, Monday through Saturday, and closed on Sundays. Donations come in at the store on any day it is open, and drop-offs end thirty minutes before closing each day.
Besides shopping and donating, people can support the store by volunteering, and the shop also hires staff. Local businesses can advertise with the store as well. A large mural on the side of the cream-colored building shows a tall pine and white dogwood blossoms, painted with the words "Be kind to the Earth, go thrifting."
