The Salvation Army Family Store in Victoria, Texas, operates under The Salvation Army, an international Christian movement whose mission is to meet human needs without discrimination. Donated goods such as clothing and furniture stock the shelves, and the organization's local work provides meals, shelter and support for neighbors in need. A white sign marked with the red Salvation Army shield stands out against the store's steep red metal roof.
Anyone with clothing, furniture or other household goods to give can bring them to the store, and The Salvation Army also arranges local donation options for Victoria-area donors. Shoppers find the store open six days a week. It is closed on Sundays, when the doors stay shut for the whole day.
