This charity thrift store in Tyler, Texas raises money for Bethesda Health Clinic, which offers low-cost medical and dental care to uninsured working people. Hangers of Hope was founded in 2013 to support the clinic. It sells clothing, accessories and household goods, and long chrome racks of clothes grouped by color fill its sales floor under a high open-truss ceiling.
Donations of new and used items that can be resold are accepted at the store's donation center, and pick-up can be scheduled for larger donations. Items too flawed to sell are recycled and sent overseas. Every Tuesday is Hope Rewards Tuesday, with a discount on everything in the store. The store is open into the evening six days a week and closed on Sundays.
