Marked For Life Thrift Store is run by Marked For Life Ministries, a Christ-centered nonprofit founded in Fort Payne in 2020. Every sale helps fund the ministry's other work: a 24/7 Hope Line, the Hope Center's food, showers, laundry and case management, a free medical clinic for the uninsured, Hope House for men facing homelessness, and its Thanksgiving and Christmas outreach.
The store sells clothing, furniture and household goods, and a rack of formal dresses adds gowns to the mix. Long rows of clothing racks fill the sales floor of a metal building with dark red steel beams overhead. Donated items are accepted at the store, and the ministry offers free pickup for furniture donations. The store is open five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday.
