In Troy, Alabama, the Christian Mission's Bargain Center is both a mission thrift store and a community outreach center. Besides shopping, it has a full-service food pantry and offers benevolence assistance and other resources to individuals and families.
The Christian Mission Centers run the store. The organization's goal is to meet the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the people it serves. Every purchase supports the Mission's ministries, including food assistance, emergency shelter, addiction recovery and outreach programs. Donations of used items are accepted at the store, which is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. The words Recovery, Food, Benevolence and Shelter are lettered across the front windows, each in its own color, with a multicolored cross over the door.
