Fairytale Cottage greets shoppers with a large window mural of a dark rabbit framed by drawn vines and flowers, set beside the shop's name in looping script. Lettered beneath that artwork, the words "Thrift Boutique Serving Community" give the shop's own description of itself. Secondhand goods are its trade here in Cullman, Alabama, sold under that same storefront name. The store opens its doors to customers five days a week.
