Teen Challenge Southeast, a faith-based nonprofit, runs SuperThrift Pensacola, which sells clothing, furniture and household items. The store also works as a training ground. People enrolled in Teen Challenge programs learn customer service and retail operations there while building a steady work ethic. It is open six days a week, stays open into the evening on at least one of them, and is closed on Sundays.
Donated household goods are welcome, and donors can request a pickup. Gifts of goods are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows. All of the proceeds from sales go to Teen Challenge residential programs, which support teens and adults recovering from addiction and other life-controlling issues.
