Run by the Neighborhood Center of West Volusia, this DeLand shop sells furniture, clothing and household items. Its sales help the organization feed the hungry, house the homeless and prevent homelessness in the community. The store is open five days a week, and its white stucco building is fronted by planted beds of shrubs and flowers.
Smaller donations such as clothing and household goods can be dropped off until mid-afternoon. Large furniture and appliances are picked up free of charge once photos of all sides have been approved, and someone has to be there when the truck arrives. Items with stains, rips, scratches, pet hair or odors are turned down. The store also serves the center's clients with vouchers they can trade in for essential items.
