Building materials, appliances, furniture, cabinets, flooring and specialty items fill the West Volusia Habitat for Humanity ReStore in DeLand, a home improvement outlet run by the local Habitat affiliate. All profits support Habitat's work building safe, affordable homes, and the store also keeps usable goods out of landfills. Some of the stock is also sold online. Furniture and appliances line the covered entry in front of the store's blue metal wall.
Local businesses and individuals donate the inventory. The store accepts building materials, furniture, décor, appliances and household goods, either dropped off during store hours or picked up after a request is scheduled online. Each donation comes with a receipt for tax purposes. The ReStore is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
