Jesus is! Thrift Store is part of JESUS IS! Ministries, a nondenominational Christian ministry that has worked in Inglis, Florida since April 1979 and was incorporated in 1984. Since 1986 the ministry has run a residential rehabilitation program for people recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. Its campus covers almost 20 acres and includes men's and women's dormitories, a pantry, a sewing room, a donation storage facility and a recycling center.
The ministry takes no government funding and runs on donations. With that support it feeds about 80 residents three meals a day and gives them free clothing and beds. The thrift store is open four days a week. It sits in a wood-sided building under a green metal porch roof, with its name carved on rustic wooden signs.
