Clothing, household goods and everyday essentials fill this Crystal River thrift store, which is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. Racks of clothing stand outside the front windows, under a black-and-white sign with a red stripe. Individuals and families from the community are welcome to come in and shop.
The store is run by U-Turn for Christ Florida, a residential Christian discipleship ministry of Calvary Chapel Crystal River. The ministry helps men break free from drugs and alcohol through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Every purchase supports the men in its residential treatment program as they work toward freedom, restoration and a new life in faith. The ministry's work is built on daily teaching of Scripture, along with discipleship, accountability and service.
