NU-HOPE's Sebring Thrift Shop raises money for the nonprofit's elder care work, and its sales help pay for the meals, in-home help, transportation and respite care that let local seniors keep living at home. NU-HOPE has advocated for seniors since 1975. The shop is in a tan stucco building with a white sign that carries the navy diamond NH logo.
The store accepts donations of furniture, clothing, household goods, working appliances, garden items and tools, antiques and collectibles, and towels and linens, and all clothing must be clean and free of stains. It cannot take broken furniture or broken appliances, and donations should be dropped off only during store hours. NU-HOPE can sometimes pick up larger items. Volunteers sort donations and help with sales, and the store is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
