In Fort Walton Beach, Goodwill Gulf Coast runs a retail store, a donation center and an Opportunity Center all at one site. The nonprofit serves ten counties along the Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast. Its Fort Walton Beach store is open to shoppers seven days a week and stays open into the evening.
Donations of household items are accepted every day of the week, and the donation center opens before the store does. Goodwill Gulf Coast also arranges donation pick-ups and accepts donated vehicles. The Opportunity Center is open on weekdays and offers the organization's employment and education services, including help preparing for a job search. The long white building has a blue Goodwill Gulf Coast sign across the top of its front wall.
