Women in Lydia's House, the Christ-centered recovery program of Sherry White Ministries, earn income and receive job training at the Mustard Seed in Wauchula, Florida. This faith-based thrift store belongs to the ministry, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Every dollar it raises goes toward Lydia's House and Pioneer Village Farm, a 36.5-acre farm devoted to restoring families.
The store is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. On Mondays it stays open into the evening, with a weekly sale running from mid-afternoon until closing. The parent ministry also does evangelism, music, teaching and community programs. Since 2008 it has worked with a Dominican pastor to fund and support an orphanage for girls in the Dominican Republic.
