Proceeds from Restoring Hope Thrift Store benefit Combat Veterans to Careers, supporting local Post-9/11 combat veterans and their families in need across Greater Central Florida. The Wildwood store is run as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and sells unique and vintage items. It is open six days a week, stays open into the evening on weekdays and closes on Sundays.
Tax-deductible donations of furniture, rugs, refrigerators and freezers, washers and dryers, kitchenware, drapery, household décor, bicycles, computers, vinyl records and jewelry are accepted. Mattresses, VHS tapes, stoves and entertainment centers are not. Large-item pickups and deliveries run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The store sits in a red building with white trim and a metal roof, with an American flag hung out front.
