In Wildwood, Florida, Restoring Hope Clothing Boutique sells donated clothing for men and women, along with purses, jewelry and accessories to go with them. Every purchase benefits Combat Veterans to Careers, an organization that supports local post-9/11 combat veterans and their families. A hand-painted bald eagle carrying a "Made in USA" banner spreads its wings across the window above the front doors.
Donations are accepted at drop-off from Monday through Saturday, and pickups can also be scheduled. Because the stock is made up of donations, it changes constantly. Gift certificates are sold as well, and volunteers help keep the store running. The boutique is open six days a week, stays open into the evening at least once a week and is closed on Sundays.
