Donations come in through the back door Monday through Saturday, and furniture or larger loads can be collected with a scheduled pickup. The shop accepts clothing and shoes for women, men, teens and children, plus furniture and small household appliances. It is closed on Sundays, and new merchandise goes out every day, from housewares to jewelry and collectibles, with a special section set aside for unique and popular pieces.
The Dade City shoppe is run by Gulfside Hospice, a nonprofit hospice serving the Tampa Bay area, and all net proceeds from its sales go to the care of Gulfside Hospice patients. Gulfside's thrift shoppes have sold clothing, furniture and household goods for 29 years, and customers can join the Thrifty's Loyalty Rewards program. Big purple letters spell out the name across the white metal building, which has green trim.
