Run by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, Helping Hands Thrift Shop has served Groveland, California, continuously since 1982. The shop carries clothing and other secondhand goods. The same organization runs a separate Helping Hands Furniture Barn for furniture. The thrift shop is open five days a week, and Wednesday is senior discount day for shoppers aged 60 and over.
Donations are accepted during the shop's regular days. All drop-offs come in through the back door. Each donor can bring up to three 13-gallon bags or three small boxes per day. The shop cannot take large black bags or large boxes. Furniture donations go to the Furniture Barn, which takes items only when it has room.
