Lucy's Nearly New is a consignment shop in Sturgis, South Dakota, selling apparel and housewares. Local consignors bring in their goods and receive their share of the profit as soon as an item sells. All year it takes housewares, athleisure, jeans, western wear, accessories, household items, books and puzzles. The pieces that sell best are trendy label tops, jeans, western attire and fashionable home décor.
Consignments come in on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and new consignor accounts open during enrollment periods twice a year. Clothing must be clean, wrinkle-free and folded. Seasonal goods follow a calendar, from Valentine's décor in January to Christmas décor in October. The stock changes every week. The shop is open six days a week, closed Sundays, and reopens in August after the Motorcycle Rally.
