Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area runs this nonprofit home improvement store in Jackson. It sells new and used furniture, appliances, home goods and building materials. Sales cover nearly 20% of the organization's operating budget and help build affordable homes, and the store keeps more than 400,000 pounds of waste out of the trash each year. A bright blue ReStore sign hangs above its wood-sided storefront.
Donations of lightly used furniture, cabinets, doors, windows, lumber, light fixtures and newer electric appliances are taken at the rear of the building, where staff check each item's condition. Clothing, mattresses and gas appliances are not accepted. Pickup by reservation runs two days a week around Jackson, and the store is open five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday.
