In Idaho Falls, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul runs this thrift store as a central part of its local work, which has served southeast Idaho neighbors since February 1995. Store sales support the Society's help with food, housing, utilities, clothing and furniture, along with a food pantry, the FREEMED prescription program and a yearly Christmas Basket project.
The store offers both paid jobs and volunteer opportunities. Families in need receive vouchers they can redeem for its merchandise. Donated goods, food, volunteer time and money all go toward the Society's mission. The shop is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. A white box truck with the Society's blue logo sits beside the tan building, which has stone pillars and green trim.
