Donations go to the rear door of the Op Shop. It takes them only on the four days a week it is open and not in the last half hour before closing, and every gift is tax-deductible. It accepts housewares, kitchenware, fine porcelain, glass and silver, art and home decor, clothing and accessories, fine and costume jewelry, linens and children's toys that don't use batteries. It does not take electronics, furniture, books, DVDs, men's suits, medical devices or baby gear.
This church thrift store in Washington opened in 1955 and is St. Alban's Church's oldest outreach program. Volunteers staff it, and the Workers of St. Alban's manage it. Its proceeds fund grants for programs that directly help people in need in the community and beyond. The church next door is built of stone and has bright red front doors.
