Run by Christ Church Georgetown, an Episcopal parish in Washington, this church thrift shop operates from the lower level of the church's Linthicum Hall. Its sales benefit a long list of charities, including Community of Hope, the House of Ruth, Iona Senior Services, Meals on Wheels, World Central Kitchen and the Washington School for Girls. They also support the parish's Discretionary Fund and the Episcopal Church Women.
Racks of clothing fill the wood-floored shop, and handbags line the high shelves. Donations of clean clothing, accessories, linens, dinnerware, glassware and cookware are accepted at the Parish Office on weekdays, but not in July or August. Clothing must come on hangers or in boxes. The shop opens on Wednesdays from September through June.
