Donations to BAM Thrift Store in Memphis can be picked up by appointment, and the store also delivers and handles cleanouts for estate sale companies and auction services. Open six days a week and closed on Sundays, the shop sells a range of home goods, and its stock changes daily. It also offers hand car washes in three packages and cuts keys on the spot.
BAM stands for Business as Ministry, and every dollar spent there goes to the work of Heartland Adult Teen Challenge. Students in the organization's Christian discipleship recovery program work in the store, which also offers to pray with customers. The shop fills a red two-story brick building with a red tile roof and green awnings over its front windows.
