Open Wednesdays and Saturdays, The Thrifty Goose Thrift Shop in Providence sells men's and women's clothing along with housewares, cookware and more. Donations are welcome and can be dropped off at the shop, or a pickup can be requested. Donated goods keep the shop's collection stocked and help pay for its community events.
The shop's mission is to promote sustainable fashion, and volunteers help run it day to day. Its boutique section carries a curated collection of brand-name pieces. On the sales floor, long racks of clothing line white walls under dark wooden ceiling beams, and a row of dresses hangs across the upper wall.
