Every sale at the UCLA Thrift Shop supports UCLA Health programs and patients. The UCLA Health Auxiliary runs this Los Angeles store, which sells both used and new merchandise. The stock covers jewelry, cashmere, sterling, antiques, fine china, holiday decorations, books, CDs, DVDs, furniture and art, and new items arrive daily. The shop is open five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday.
Donations are tax deductible, and the shop will pick up items from donors' homes. It accepts adult and children's clothing, which should be laundered and folded, plus shoes, handbags, housewares, small rugs, toys, computers, flat-screen TVs and small electronics. It does not take mattresses, large appliances, car seats, strollers, gym equipment, pianos, medical supplies or office furniture.
