Volunteers from Grace Church and the wider community run every shift at Saved by Grace, the thrift shop of Grace Episcopal Church in Hoolehua on Molokai. The shop works as a ministry of the church, and both donations and purchases fund its family outreach and food bank. The racks hold clothing for the whole family, along with furniture, household goods, books and toys.
The doors open only on Fridays and Saturdays. The shop takes donations of clean, used items, and these keep its shelves stocked. It also looks for new volunteers to help on its open days and on an occasional weekday work day. Volunteers earn store credit for each hour they work.
