Lāna'i Union Church has run The Community Thrift Shop for more than 20 years, and the money from its sales pays for the church's youth programs throughout the year. The shop sells clothing for all ages, including keiki clothes, along with small household items and appliances, books, DVDs, toys and seasonal goods such as Halloween costumes and holiday decorations. A plain wooden sign with the shop's name and the church's name stands on the lawn out front, framed by tall pines.
Donations can be dropped off during shop hours. The shop takes clean clothing, children's items, books, DVDs, pots, pans, dishware and small kitchen appliances and electronics that still work. It does not take used car seats, large furniture, TVs, or broken or stained goods. The shop opens on Thursdays and Saturdays.
