Downstairs at First Presbyterian Church of Delhi, in space fully renovated for it, The Kirk Thrift Shoppe operates as the church's mission project for the local community. Because space is limited, the shop concentrates on clothes, shoes and household items, with people who lose or suffer damage to their homes in fires, floods and other disasters in mind.
Donations of clean seasonal clothing and accessories for all ages are accepted, along with jewelry, housewares, small furniture, toys, games, puzzles, craft supplies, linens, small electric appliances, seasonal decor and frames. Books, electronics, large furniture, bed pillows, car seats and strollers are not taken. Volunteers usually work Mondays and Thursdays, and the shop in Delhi, New York, opens to shoppers on Fridays and Saturdays.
