Run by Open Door Ministry, a faith-based nonprofit, this Royersford thrift shop operates alongside the organization's food pantry, clothes closet and volunteer programs, all part of its human services work for the local community. The ministry has met the requirements of the Standards Basics program of the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations.
The shelves carry household items, toys, games and baby goods, along with a limited selection of food, and sodas, water and snacks are also for sale. The stock changes constantly. A long green sign framed by red diamond tiles runs across the brick front, and the same diamond pattern repeats in the brickwork above it. The store is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
