Run by TVI, Inc., a for-profit company, the Arcadia Savers sells secondhand clothing for the whole family along with dinnerware, accessories, books, housewares and electronics. Shopping here does not benefit a charity, but donating does. Clothing and household goods dropped off here are accepted on behalf of the American Red Cross, and Savers pays the Red Cross for them.
Donations include shoes, bed and bath items, toys and games, sporting goods, small appliances and small furniture, and donors receive a discount on their next purchase. Two large Donation Center signs stand over a covered drop-off lane on the tan stucco building, next to the red Savers sign. The store opens seven days a week and stays open into the evening, and Tuesdays bring a senior discount for shoppers 55 and older.
