Run by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Twin Cities, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, this Minneapolis thrift store shares its building with the organization's District Council. Store sales support a wider mission: the Society also operates food pantries, makes personal visits to the homes of people living in poverty, and provides emergency assistance with food, rent and utility bills. The store accepts donated goods, and the Society also offers a donation pickup service that can be scheduled ahead of time.
Murals cover the building's outside walls, including a rainbow arching over a dark city skyline, all set beneath bold blue lettering. A sales calendar sets out a different daily deal through the week, and the store is open six days, closing on Sundays.
